Fameeka Lasha king Obituary

Fameeka Tannescia King, lovingly known as Mickey, was born January 4, 1978, in Mobile, Alabama to Ernest Cowan and Darlene King. At the age of 5 she relocated to Oakland, CA. Mickey accepted Christ at a young age. She was a member of the Union missionary Baptist church in Oakland, CA under the leadership of the late Reverend Ed Nation.Mickey received her education in the Oakland Unified School district. She received her high school degree from Castlemont High school.

Mickey was a loving mother. She loved taking care of her family and had a beautiful spirit. She was the kind of person who would give you her last if you needed it. She loved to cook and spend time with family. Her favorite meal to cook was meatloaf. You could find her having the time of her life at all the family gatherings. 

Mickey was God’s greatest gift to us. She knew how to make everyone feel special! She never showed the pain she was dealing with. She kept positive thoughts and had a high spirit, she was a mother to her kids and any other kid that needed it. Whenever you called and needed her, she was right there. She was the BEST CHILD, MOTHER, SISTER, COUSIN, GRANDMA, AUNTIE, and FRIEND to all. She will truly be missed. 

Fameeka was preceded in death by her father Ernest Cowan; grandparents, Thelma Cowan, Rebecca H. King, Willie C. King and L.C Lucas; brothers Terrance King Sr and Darcel Lewis; and nephew, Norman Lewis.  Fameeka leaves to cherish her loving memory her grandmother Carrie King; her mother, Darlene King; stepfathers, Robert Fluker and father-in-law Byron Lewis; children, Alonzo (Brianni) Lewis, Alonee Lewis, Kevin Bradley, Kayla Bradley and Terrance King Jr.; brothers, Carlos King and Joseph Sykes; sisters, Surquonna King, Sarina Fluker, Sheree Fluker, Shanay Fluker and Carletta Fluker; nephews, Carlos King Jr and Damari King; goddaughter, Jaonne Seaberry; and special sisters, Doris, Kathleen and Tequila. As well as a host of aunties, uncles, special nieces, nephews and her loving Village Family.
