Iridulu Ruth Ayewah Dubose, the last of five girls and the seventh child of the late Mr. David Okhiria .and late Deaconess Beatrice Ayewah. She was born in Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria, on the 17th of July l97O.
EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS ATTENDED:
1. St. George's primary school, Zaria
2. Demonstration Secondary school, Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria.
3. Advance level in Secretariat Studies in Lagos, Nigeria.
4. Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the faculty of Arts and Social science in 1997.
Ruth worked at the British Council, Kaduna before Proceeding to Vienna, Austria. She later relocated to the United States of America, where she worked as a financial analyst with the Oakland School district in California, USA.

History of OUSD Employment:
Ruth DuBose, a longtime employee of the Oakland Unified School District, began her journey as a Substitute Clerical Employee in 2001, providing services to various schools and central office locations. In 2002, Ruth's confidence and tenacity quickly led to her finding a full-time position as a buyer in the purchasing department, where she flourished. In a few short years, Ruth's trajectory led her to greater opportunities within the programs for Exceptional Children (SELPA) within OUSD. managing a multimillion dollar budget as well as monitoring the expenditures of the multifaceted program.
Stepping into even greater promotional opportunities in 2008, Ruth became a Financial Analyst/Accountant in the Financial Services/Office of Business Services Division. In this capacity, she supported Elementary, Middle, and High School Principals with budgetary support, training new Site Leaders and their administrative support staff with managing school budgets, and supporting with governance of the budget development process. Ruth also performed accountant duties providing quarterly reports to Local and State Agencies while managing a myriad of Local, State and Federal Resources and Grants while maintaining the integrity of District Strategic goals/plans until her transition in June 2023-
